Nostr Community Survey

You are invited to take part in a research survey conducted by Superbloom. Your participation is voluntary, and you may skip any question or stop the survey at any time. You may also request that your data be removed up until the point the anonymized dataset is published.

The information you provide will be handled confidentially. Before any results are shared publicly or used in academic research, all data will be anonymized to the best of our ability. Please avoid including identifying information in free-response answers as much as you can.

Welcome

This survey was created so the Nostr community can better understand itself and help advance the Nostr protocol and ecosystem. All questions are optional.

Commitment to open data

An anonymized version of the survey results will be made openly available to the community. Free-response answers will be reviewed and de-identified before publication.

Methodology and positionality

The concept and funding for the survey comes from the AndOtherStuff, as part of their efforts to make Nostr more accessible and widely adopted.

The organization responsible for administering the survey and cleaning the results is Superbloom, a US 501(c)3 focusing on research and design of alternatives to big tech. We have worked on projects related to decentralization, such as the Decentralization Off the Shelf pattern library. 

AndOtherStuff and Superbloom collaborated on this survey, based on interviews with prominent members of the Nostr community. We welcome feedback on the survey!
